How to book a tatkal ticket





                                                                   We all travel in trains. What if we have no train tickets available for reservation or we are in waiting list.Buying a tatkal ticket will help you.A tatkal scheme actually meant by ticket for an emergency journey. If we have not reserved a ticket earlier before journey. Tatkal system is a relief for passengers who did not avail a train ticket or to the passengers who are in waiting list.

         Tatkal ticket can not be booked on the date of journey. Tatkal booking starts on a day before the departure of train. There are some points needed before you are ready to book a tatkal ticket. Before you start try to know full details about your train you wish to travel. Either you google about the train or go to IRCTC website. Tatkal booking is only available a day before your train departure for eg: When your train departure on 4th march 2017 8.33 pm you can avail tatkal booking on 3rd march 2017. Now the important thing is you must have a highspeed internet connection, as you know thousands of passengers will be trying to book tatkal at the same time. Also high speed internet helps you to pay for the ticket by using bank transaction. Tatkal booking for AC compartments starts on 10.00AM and for other Non AC compartments booking starts on 11.00 AM. So first of all you have to get into the IRCTC website before 5minutes booking starts. Change your ticket mode from general to tatkal.Also you have to enter all the details before 2minutes and so then you can simply submit on 10.00AM. Do the transaction fast and so then you can simply book tickets and enjoy your journey !

Tatkal tickets are previously booked tickets by travel agencies. Unused tickets are sold in the form of tatkal tickets. Do not forget that tatkal tickets are costlier than ordinary booked tickets. But there ia no difference between both tickets. IRCTC do not provide any scheme to refund tatkal tickets once cancelled like ordinary tickets.
