PGIMER 2018


PGIMER is the short form of Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research which is located at Chandigarh in India. PIGMER is one of the top ranked educational Institutions in India. It was in the year 1962, Punjab state started this Institution. PGIMER provides best quality in Education students can attain. Also provides facility for Research and Training at the Institution. PGIMER conducts an important test to choose students whom they can develop in to a specified type by directing their ambitions or hopes. PGIMER examinations will be conducted twice in a year, first for January and second in July. PGIMER entrance examination is conducted to take admissions for 165 seats in 20 different post graduate courses. General category courses are Ph.D, MD, MS, MDS, MHA, MPH, DM, M.ch and M.sc. These courses have duration of 1/2 year, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years and 4 years.
PGIMER for July 2018 has announced for Clinical and Basic clinical science. There are 165 seats for both courses.

The applicants must have completed their MBBS from a recognized University or from an Institute authorized by the Medical council of India. Applicants who are registered with State or Central Medical registration council are also eligible. For July 2018 section, applicants must have finished their 1 year internship or Practical training On or before 30 June 2018.

Last date of submission of exam fee will be on April 2018
PGIMER entrance examination will be conducted on May 2018
Exam results will be published on May 2018
There will be 4 Rounds of counselling,
1st ,2nd and 3rd round counselling will be conducted  on July 2018 and the 4th one will be conducted on August 2018.

How to apply for PGIMER entrance
Candidates can avail their application froms through online. They will be avilable from specific date. Entrance examination is the major test and so candidates have to pass the test with required score. Further steps are open,only after qualifying the entrance exam. There will be Group discussion and Personal Interview after the entrance exam.
Candidates should keep their Scanned Photograph in JPEG format with size not exceeding 50kb ( Photograph should have name of the candidate and date at which the photo is taken wriiten clearly). Form should be filled only in Capital letters.  The Application number and Password should be kept safe for further uses. Take a printout of the copy of filled application form.
Candidates should submit their applications with in the last date specified by the boards by filling all the relevant details in the form. Care should be taken while filling details like exam pattern, Question paper models and Syllabus informations. Such relevant details are provided in the PGIMER 2018 website.
PGIMER exam pattern
Admit card should be downloaded from the website. It is important to bring a valid Admit card with a photo ID proof for the written test. No candidates will be allowed to enter without these documents. Admit card should contain student's Name, Roll number, Exam centre, Exam date and Exam venue. Do not lose Admit card until Counselling procedures are over.
Do not forget that PGIMER is a Pen, Paper based written Test. Test will have a duration of 3 hours. Test includes a question paper with 250 multiple choice questions with 5 options. Test will be conducted in English language and there will be negative marking for incorrect answers. Do not waste time in hooking up with unknown questions.
Fee structure for PGIMER entrance
For General and OBC candidates exam fee is 1000 Rs and for SC/S.T category exam fee is 800 Rs.
Payment can be done through challan or by depositing in the SBI Bank branch. Challan form number and Other service numbers should noted and they are required for form submission. Application should be submitted with all the required documents with in the specified date.
Those who qualify in the PGIMER entrance by getting the qualifying score will be included in the PGIMER merit list. By considering the marks earned cut off marks will be set for the merit list.

DNB CET - SS 2018

Diplomate of National Board Centralised Entrance Test- Super Speciality, is conducted by National Board of examinations for the entry of candidates for Doctor of Medicine or Master of surgery degree and other Super Speciality courses. Also it gives admission to various super speciality courses. These super speciality courses have a duration of 3 years and gives entrance to various NBE affiliated Medical colleges and other Institutions.
