Diplomate of National Board Centralised Entrance Test- Super Speciality, is conducted by National Board of examinations for the entry of candidates for Doctor of Medicine or Master of surgery degree and other Super Speciality courses. Also it gives admission to various super speciality courses. These super speciality courses have a duration of 3 years and gives entrance to various NBE affiliated Medical colleges and other Institutions. DNB CET- SS are conducted twice in an year, in January and in July. This entrance examination is of national level. The applicants can write any one of the above exams and can join the courses.
Eligibility criteria for Applying DNB CET – SS 2018
Applicants must hold the MBBS and MD/MS degree recognized by the Medical council of India. Appearing candidates can also apply, but they must possess their Pass certificates by 31st December 2017. Otherwise applicants would be rejected from DNB CET SS 2018. Along with this, applicants should complete their 3 years training by 31st December 2017. Applicants those are proceeding DM/ Mch and DNB courses are not eligible to apply for the Test. Before councelling, candidates must submit their proof of registration in Medical Council of India or State Medical council. Candidates should ensure before applying for the registration that their MBBS and MS/MD degree is recognized as per provisions of Indian Medical Council Act.
Application form for DNB CET – SS 2018
Examination form is available only through online mode through the official website.
Before filling up the application candidates should read the instructions carefully.
No application form can be applied through offline mode.
Candidates can choose their appropriate exam centre, date and time during the time of registration.
Once the test centre is chosen, it can not be changed later.
Incomplete application forms are rejected by the authority.
Candidates must be ready with scanned copies of photograph and thumb impression in specified size before filling up the application form.
Application fee for DNB CET SS 2018
After filling up the application form and submitting further, website will redirect to Payment gateway. Application fee can be remitted through Credit card, Debit card or Net banking payment gateways. Application fee is Rs.4500/-. Application fee once paid is refundable.
DNB CET Time table
For January session
Online Application will start on the Last week of September 2017.
Online application will end on 1st week of November 2017.
Examination will be conducted on the last week of November 2017
Cut off or release date for DNB/MD/MS will be on last week of December 2017.
Cut off release date for joining DNB super speciality courses will be on Last week of June 2018.
Results will be Published on the Official website on 2nd week of January 2018
For July session
Online Application for registration of DNB CET SS will start on the Last week of April 2018.
Online application will end on Last week of May 2018.
Examination will be conducted on June/ July 2018
Results will be Published on the Official website on 1st week of August 2018
DNB CET exam Pattern
Examination will be conducted through online mode. There will be no negative marking for the test. Multiple choice questions will be asked in the exam for the test. There will be 180 questions for the test in the question paper. The medium for examination will be English.
180 questions each from Medical Specialties, Surgical Specialties and Pediatric Specialties. For Medical Genetics paper Eligible candidates from (a) and (c) tests can undertake 30 multiple choice questions.
Medical and Neonatology will be a two-section tests with both the sections will have separate timings each . The first section comprising of 180 multiple-choice questions with single correct response is strict for all candidates. The total duration of the first section is 180 minutes.
The second section comprising of 30 multiple-choice questions. Medical Genetics is for those candidates those who wish to continue DNB- Medical Genetics. The total duration of the second section is 30 minutes.
DNB CET Admit card
After filling up and submitting the application form, Admit card for the test will be issued for the candidate. Applicants need to download their Admit card from the official website and paste their recent photograph pasted in it. No candidate will be admitted to the exam hall without admit card. Check whether the admit card contains Name, Roll number, Examination centre, Date and Venue of the Examination. On the day of examination candidates will have to bring their Admit card, proof od registration in State Medical Council or Medical Council of India and a valid ID proof (with photograph). Requests are not entertained for change in examination centre. Candidates are advised not to canvass for or submit such things. A Demo Test is available for the benefit of candidates to familiarize themselves with the Computer Based exam format at website www.cetss.natboard.edu.in. Applicants will be able to access the demo test from the further notice provided in the website.
DNB CET Result
After examination results will be published on January 2018. Applicants who gets a minimum qualifying score in the DNB CET is eligible for admission. All candidates appearing in the exam shall be given a merit position based on the marks obtained by them. The minimum score for General category is 50% above, 40% above for SC/ST/OBC category and 45% above for Physically disabled persons. Applicant can test their results using Applicants testing ID and Date of birth.
The validity of the result of the DNB CET-SS shall be only for the current admission session it can not be used for next session
Merit list will be prepared as Medical 1) Surgical 2) Pediatrics /Neonatology 3) Medical Genetics combined-Medical /Pediatrics /Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
DNB CET Counselling
Those who pass the test with minimum eligible score will be included in the merit list of DNB CET. Centralized counselling will be conducted. After checking the merit list, included candidates can pay counselling fee of Rs.2500/- and they have to select institutions or hospitals or medical colleges according to their priority.
