Its the right time for Civil service

he most glamourous job in the country is civil service itself. Executives who works under private sector and earn lakhs per month did not get social acceptance and consideration like Civil service persons earn. Its the right time for the persons who willing to join I.A.S, I.P.S I.F.S and 24 other kedars in civil service. Union Public Service commission issued applications for civil service examinations this year.

Preliminary written exams will be conducted on 18th June 2017. Those candidates who pass the preliminary exams will get chance to write the main exam  followed by personal interview. Kozhikod, Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi are the centres for preliminary exam in Kerala.

Age limit:

Age between 21-32 on 2017 August 1.
Candidates born between 1982 August 2 and 1996 August 1.
Age relaxation is provided 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, 5 years for ex military servicemen and 10 years for persons with physical disabilities.

Qualification Required:

Candidates must possess graduation degree.
Candidates who are writing the final exams and those who are waiting for results can also apply.
But candidates must gain the degree certificate before applying for the main civil service exam.

Main exams will be conducted on September or October 2017

Persons who have achieved Govt approved degree in professional or technical graduation can also apply.

Those who have passed MBBS final exam, even they have not completed internship is also eligible for applying. They need to present their internship completion certificate during the personal interview.

There are some limits for civil service examination.
Here they are : Candidates belong to general category can only appear for civil service exam for six times including preliminary exam. OBC candidates can appear nine times for the exam.
There is no limit for appearing for SC/ST candidates.
Persons in General category if they have physical disability can appear for the exam nine times.

Application fee for remission is 100 rupees

There is no fee for womens, physically disabled and for SC/ST candidates.

Fee can be remitted either by net banking or by cash payment mode through State Bank of India or SBT.

Candidate have to upload a passport size photo and signature in the submission form. More details are available in the UPSC website.
There are two steps for civil service a preliminary examination and the main examination. Applications for preliminary examinations is available now. After preliminary examination, those who qualify the test will have to submit the application again. Main examination will be on September or October 2017
